Basant Madhur
Basant Madhur is a prominent figure in the world of Indian classical music, celebrated for his mastery of the tabla and his steadfast dedication to musical education. Over a span of more than two decades, Basant has been the driving force behind the Sargam School of Indian Music, where he has mentored numerous students, instilling within them a profound appreciation for the rich heritage of Indian music.

Purnima Garg
Purnima Garg, our esteemed co-founder, is the guiding force behind our Kathak Dance Company. Trained under revered gurus from the Lucknow and Jaipur gharanas, Purnima brings a wealth of expertise and experience to her role as the principal teacher. She holds a diploma in Kathak (Hons) from the National Institute of Kathak – Kathak Kendra, Delhi, India, completing five years of foundation exams and three years of diploma studies. Purnima has achieved the distinction of being a national topper in Kathak for three consecutive years and has also participated in the Prayag Sangeet Samidhi exams.With over 15 years devoted to Kathak, Purnima’s fluid movements and profound understanding of the art form inspire students to delve into their creativity, fostering an atmosphere of growth and achievement.

Yashi Yamini
Yashi Yamini, our cherished instructor and social media manager, embodies a spirit of passion and commitment. With a decade-long tenure at Sargam School of Indian Music, Yashi has refined her skills as both an educator and a digital storyteller, sharing the allure of Kathak with diverse audiences. Under Purnima’s guidance, Yashi imparts her knowledge to students, nurturing their talents and guiding them on their path to mastery.
